meet Tommes K. Brandt

Raised in the former East of Germany, music became an early constant — a space of focus, freedom and creative independence. After moving to Berlin nearly fifteen years ago, the city’s club culture and artistic ecosystem played a defining role in shaping his musical path. Through close collaboration with DJs and producers, work on tracks and ongoing vocal performance, he developed a practice-driven relationship with sound and the dancefloor.

Years of listening, performing and being deeply embedded in electronic music culture inform a DJ approach that is attentive, confident and precise. Experience rather than trends guides his musical decisions, allowing him to read rooms carefully and respond with clarity and intention.

His sets move fluidly between groove-driven house, tech house, classic techno and contemporary electronic influences. Genre boundaries remain deliberately open — timing, flow and atmosphere take precedence over categorisation. While DJing sits at the core of his practice, vocals remain an integral element, appearing live or subtly woven into the music.

Each set is carefully curated and shaped in dialogue with the room: dynamic, focused and responsive to collective energy. Playful and bright when the moment calls for lift, deeper and more driving when the crowd is ready to go further. The result is a sound that feels grounded yet forward-moving, designed for long nights, engaged dancefloors and spaces where connection matters.

Alongside his artistic work, Tommes is actively involved in shaping inclusive club culture. Noticing a lack of genuinely welcoming house dance spaces in Berlin — particularly for BPOC, queer communities and allies — he co-founded A-Side Berlin together with two fellow DJs. As a resident DJ, co-host and founder, he helps create intentional, joyful dancefloors rooted in house culture.

The first edition took place on April 17, 2026, at Crack Bellmer, marking the launch of the new party series.
